http://www.louvre.fr/llv/commun/home_flash.jsp?bmLocale=en - world famous Musee du Louvre in Paris houses 35,000 priceless works of art drawn from eight departments, displayed in over 60,000 square meters of exhibitiion space dedicated to its permanent collections.

Of particular note there are an extensive collection of original paintings of the Impressionists (Monet, Renoir, Degas, etc).

Located in Florence, Italy, its collection of Primitive and Renaissance paintings comprises several universally acclaimed masterpieces of all time, including works by Giotto, Simone Martini, Piero della Francesca, Fra Angelico, Filippo Lippi, Botticelli, Mantegna, Correggio, Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael, Michelangelo and Caravaggio.
